Learning for today:

PE: Find a safe space (Garden? Living room?) and do 15 jumping jacks, 16 squats and 17 bunny hops.

 

M: Start with a 10 minute practice of your number bonds on Hit the Button! How many can you get right in the time given?

We are looking at completing simple symmetrical figures today! If you need a little reminder, check out: https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-complete-a-simple-symmetrical-figure/   I love doing these as they really require you to picture the figure/shape in your head and shade in all of the right sections! Worksheet attached below - I hope you enjoy completing the figures!

 

E: Listen to the next chapters of Varjak Paw if you haven’t caught up already. 

TASK: Yesterday, you planned for your letter to the author of Varjak Paw so obviously, today you are going to write it! Don’t forget that paragraphs need a 2 finger space indent and that your language needs to be formal! Also think about your handwriting being neat and cursive as we want S.F. Said to be able to read it and be impressed by it.

Topic: Quick question – What can you tell me about the Aztecs? Did you know the Aztecs were originally known as the Mexica? Or that they originally thought they had 2 suns (sun gods), but because it was too hot, the Aztecs believed a bunny was thrown into one sun and it became a moon! I certainly was very surprised to hear that.

Today, we are going to find out a little bit more about the history behind the history of chocolate. Take a look at the Powerpoint, reading the information carefully, and then choose what you would like to do from the optional tasks! I hope you are enjoying learning about chocolate and its history. At school with Yellow Team, we worked on making our own sun stones using googly eyes yesterday and we can’t wait for you to see them.

Challenge: Can you find out a fun fact about the Aztecs? And send it to me?

Help out at home: How can you help your adult today? Do you need to clean your room? Could you do the washing up? Maybe today you need to just hug your adult?
