Shape is everywhere!

Wha 3D shapes can you find in the environment?

This week we have been learning all about the different 3D shapes. We have focussed on a different shape a day and discussed their faces, surface, edges and vertices before going on a shape hunt for that shape. We are starting to develop a really good understanding of these different shapes. Next time you go anywhere, ask us to point out some 3D shapes in the environment and even try to challenge us with their properties (we may surprise you). We have focused on the following shapes: cone, sphere, pyramid, cube, cuboid and cylinder and we know that 2D shapes are 'flat' and 3D shapes are 'fat' and can be picked up.
