Leaf Man

This week in Team Spurrier we have started to learn about seasons and their changes. We have focussed on Autumn and the changes we might see from the leaves changing colour and falling down to the days getting shorter and colder. We then studied the text 'Leaf Man' where he goes on an adventure and will go wherever the wind takes him. The exciting part was that you never know where the leaf man is hiding and he could appear whenever the wind blows. We spoke about where we would want to go on a leaf adventure and why. As well as this, we looked at the illustrations and saw that all of the animals/creatures were made out of leaves. This gave us inspiration to make our own leaf people and animals out of real leaves. We also did some leaf rubbing, printing and made leaf crowns too. Make sure you check out our awesome arty leaves in the window and the fantastic topic display in class.
