Grouping and sharing
How can we make sure it's fair?
This week in Team Spurrier we have been learning about grouping in sharing. We started the week by finding different ways to group objects/people by size, colour and shape. We were also able to sort ourselves by glasses, hair colour, eye colour, boys and girls etc. Later in the week we looked at sharing and making the amount we both have, fair. We counted out our objects and then used the phrase: 'one for me, one for you' until we had shared them all out. We noticed that some of the numbers did not work but we knew that we had shared them but they just were not equal. Finally at the end of the week we looked at halving. We had a group of objects and challenged ourselves to split them in half so both sides had the same. This was very challenging to do and something we will keep practising.
