Reading: There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom Chapters 10 & 11, Pages 43-49
1. How does Bradley picture the girls’ toilets to be?
2. What does the word ‘blushing’ mean?
3. What excuses does Jeff give for not going into the girls’ bathroom?
4. How are Jeff and Bradley different?
5. Do you think Jeff is a good friend to Bradley? Explain your answer.
English: IALT understand a character’s inner feelings and motivations using evidence in a text.
Yesterday we read Chapter 9 where Bradley meets Carla. Re-read chapter 9 (yesterday's blog attachments). What do you think Carla’s first impressions of Bradley might be? Think about the behaviour of Bradley and how Carla reacts. Look at what she says and what it suggests about her thinking about Bradley.
Imagine that you are Carla getting ready for her meeting with Bradley.
Task 1: Make a list of questions to ask Bradley about: home, life, school, Carla, Jeff. Next, imagine that you have just finished your meeting with Bradley. Task 2: Write down notes that Carla would have made about Bradley from their first meeting. Topic: IK how some plants reproduce Have a look through the short Powerpoint I have attached below. We have already learned about the different ways that plants can reproduce. There are advantages and disadvantages to plants using sexual or asexual reproduction. Have a look at the statements on your Advantages and Disadvantages Activity Sheet (attached). Can you match each statement to show whether it is an advantage or disadvantage of each type of reproduction?
