Home Learning, Thursday 14th May
Please see below for Thursday's home learning.
Good morning! Good to see Kingsley and Archie in school yesterday nailing their SPaG work. Well done boys.
For today I would like you do do the following:
Mental Maths: Place Value Millionnaire.
http://www.math-play.com/Place-Value-Millionaire/place-value-millionaire-game_html5.html
Maths: White Rose Maths, Summer Term - Week 3 (w/c 4th May), Lesson 1 - Multiply 2-digit numbers (area model)
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/
Multiplying by two digits is something that a lot of us found challenging this year, so let's go back over it and examine how we get there in a few different ways. As usual, watch the lesson then have a go at the tasks.

3. What worries Bradley before class starts?
4. Why, do you think, does Bradley destroy his homework?
5. How do you think Mrs Ebbel would have reacted if Bradley had handed in his homework?
English: Beamfleot : Episode 1
So, at this point we have explored Beamfleot, the village in the marsh, created a map for our story and also written character profiles for three of our protagonists after researching British woodland creatures. Well, today it is time to begin our story.
Watch the video all the way through, then you can read the prologue which I have attached below. You may want to refer back to the character cards that we explored a few days ago. Here:
Your characters are setting out from Beamfleot to find a priestess called Eostre in a temple in the marsh. They are hoping that she can tell them how to get rid of the disease that has taken over the land. You will need to journey into the foggy marsh and persuade her to help you... Good luck brave adventurers!
Topic: Our Romeo & Juliet Masked Ball display is looking awesome in the infants corridor. I've attached a photo for you to see. But I think it needs some writing or other creative responses to go with it. I have put together a list of 20, yes 20, creative things that you could do about Romeo and Juliet. All you have to do is read through them, pick one and then put it together over the next 4 days. When you have completed your choice, please email it to me at:

Why not put it up on our Padlet page too?
