RAPS Topic: Experiment

This afternoon, Team Amin went outside into the playground and used the Coke and mentos experiment to help us think about what a volcanic eruption is like and to get us thinking about the types of gases that are released into the atmosphere. We are starting to learn about how water vapour is the primary gas released, along with  carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide for example. Mrs Fox has set Team Amin a challenge for over the weekend to find out why putting a mentos sweet into a bottle of fizzy drink results in an explosion. We have given them a few hints to start them off!
