It's Monday!
GOOD MORNING! I hope we have all had a lovely weekend! It was very sunny and warm so I sat in my conservatory with the door open to the garden with a homemade ice lolly *attempting* to study.
Learning for today:
PE: Either find a safe space (garden?) and do 10 jumping jacks, 10 squats and 10 bunny hops or do Joe Wicks’ workout. Or will you do BOTH?!
M: Start with a speedy recap of your 5x and 10x. You can do this with a dice game if you have dice, on TTRS, Hit the Button, or you could practise chanting like we do in school?
We are going to revisit negative numbers!

Grab (draw/Google) a number line that spans from -20 to 20 (+). Count up and down to get confident! Don’t forget 0.

PRACTICE:
- 0 – 5 =
- 4 – 7 =
- 7 – 9 =
- – 4 + 8 =
- -7 + 2 =
- What is 4 more than -5?
- What is 8 less that -1?
- Fill in the sequence: -9, ___ , -13, ___, -17, -19. Are the temperatures getting hotter or colder?
- The temperature is 6 degrees Celsius. If it falls by 18 degrees, what is the temperature now?
E: Go into your Home Learning, Reading section and have a listen to the Powerpoint opening of our new CORE TEXT! You will find out more tomorrow, but keeping in theme with a story that is full of tension and suspense, I will not reveal the title just yet. You might, though, be able to guess based on listening to the preface and doing the task for today!
TASK: Create your own poster all about clocks. What is a clock? Why are clocks important? How do clocks work? What famous clocks do you know of? Use the internet/adult to gather as much information as you can to put in!

Now that you have refreshed your memory…. today, we are learning about the Ploughing Festival. Take a look at the slides attached below.
TASK: Imagine you are child taking part in the Ploughing Festival and write a short diary entry explaining what you can see, smell and hear? Are you carrying anything? What are you wearing? How are you feeling?
Today, I am sharing some of my pictures from Cambodia. Can you spot the Buddha faces? Want to find out more, go online and take a look at the Bayon temple and the many temples of Siem Reap!
