GOOD MORNING! It’s Thursday and we are one step closer to the end of another week…. and if you’re looking at things glass half full…. one step closer to coming back to school!

Learning for today:

PE: I think today is another Joe Wicks’ workout kind of day. But if you’re not feeling it, YOGA!

M: Start with a speedy recap of your 6x. You can do this with a dice game if you have dice, on TTRS, Hit the Button, or you could practise chanting like we do in school?

We are going revisit ROMAN NUMERALS today! My favourite topic!

Write your own description of a clock tower. Things you might describe: size, appearance, sounds, gargoyles, figurines, clock face, clock hands. Powerful vocabulary you might try to use: astronomical, weathered, cogwheels, mechanical, ticking, looming, brass, dusty, numerals, ornate, gothic, dated, ancient, rusting, pendulum, gargoyles, angels, figure, detailed, mechanisms

Use the picture from the text as inspiration (attached below). I am also sharing a video of an astronomical clock on the hour in Prague, Czech Republic (Europe) to Padlet!

RE: 2 day Project: So far this year, we have learnt about Sikhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. Is there a particular religion that you enjoyed learning about most? Is there another religion that you would like to know more about (Judaism, Islam, and you will find there are some others). The task is simple. Learn something new about religion. Think of this as a Love to Learn. You may research your chosen religion and present as you wish (poster, Powerpoint, video presentation, art work, diary entries, story strips, dance). You might like to explore new festivals, customs, facts, gods and goddesses, origin stories!

Possible research questions:

1. How did this religion begin (where did it originate)?
2. How do its followers worship? (When, where, religious items)?
3. What does it mean to be a _______ in Britain today?

Today is research day. Make lots of notes and tomorrow, you can worry about how you are going to present your findings.
