As part of our values week we have been exploring why people volunteer in their local community. We have looked at how this can not only help others and build community cohesion, but how it can also give the volunteer life experience and transferrable skills. Have a look at some photos of our groups beginning the process of creating their own ideas for community projects.

Well, he we are. The first few days are done and your children have settled in beautifully. Thursday was, for many of us, an unknown quantity. How would the children cope? What would they remember? What have they forgotten? Would they know how to listen? Would they remember their own names?! But, as usual, I think that we sometimes forget just how resilient children can be. Despite a few wobbles at the gate, everyone was happy, chatting and ready to learn. What a tremendous start!
I am looking forward to the year ahead and hope that not only the children, but you are too. Keep your eye on the blog for updates and if you want to contact me, please feel free to call the office or send in a note. We are going to have a great year.
Hello Team Gunson, welcome back to RAPS! I hope that you are all looking forward to being with your friends again. In this, my first blog post, I thought that I would just run through a few things to help us all settle in for the first few days of the new school year.
