Pig Heart Boy

The story is based on a young boy - Cameron - who has a viral infection that is killing his heart. He has less than a year to live, before being offered the chance of a new heart: from a pig! So far, we have read the first 15 chapters and Cameron has just returned home from the operation. Why not ask your child what they think of the book so far?

Using the themes in the book, the class have produced some excellent writing over the last few weeks. Firstly, they wrote some balanced arguments about xenotransplantation before writing an explanation text about the heart - which hopefully we will put into our publishing books tomorrow.
