Chinese new year
This week we have looked into Lunar New Year.
Apparently, 1/4 of the world's population celebrates the Lunar New Year, so it's a celebration we feel is important to educate ourselves on. This gives each child the opportunity to increase their knowledge and learn about another culture. It also helps to raise their awareness and acceptance of what, how and why other people celebrate.
During the Lunar New Year celebrations, people wear red and use it to decorate, symbolising good luck and happiness.
