The Secret of Black Rock
We have a new core text!
Today, we began reading The Secret of Black Rock by Joe Todd-Stanton. We had so much fun seeing the illustrations, waving when we heard keywords and phrases and immersing ourselves in our text! We then summarised the text with our partners and created our own freeze frames of key moments, thinking carefully about how our characters might be feeling. We loved being the Black Rock, Erin, Archie and the plotting fishermen and fisherwomen, or having a go at directing our group too! Well done, Year 2
