RE: Buddhism

This term in RE, we have been exploring another world religion, Buddhism, and learning about the Buddha! Yesterday, we learnt about how Prince Siddhartha Gautama came to be known as the Buddha and about why we often see the Buddha meditating in images and statues! Today, we have been discussing how his appearance links to the story behind how he came to be such an important figure in Buddhism, discussing his third eye and the snails on his head in particular! Ask us all about him!
