Parent Reading!
Thank you so much for coming to our parent reading session this afternoon! It was wonderful to see so many children sharing stories with their adults and friends. These termly parent sessions are a great opportunity for you to see how the children engage with books in school and the children enjoy being able to share their reading with you. The date of the next terms session will be shared in the new terms curriculum letter and we would love to see you there.
Reading with your child has been proven to build connections between parent and child, helps children process things in their own lives, and can help children with their spoken oracy skills (National Literacy Trust, 2020).
