Mindfulness Mondays
Every Monday we have a slower start to the day and practice our mindfulness.
Each week we go through our calming down breathing techniques; I hope the children have shown you these. We have 5 candle breathing, hot chocolate breathing, weight-lifting breathing and jelly-fish breathing.
We've also been talking about other strategies to keep ourselves calm and stress free; this week, due to the rain on Monday, we did some mindfulness colouring. We thought about our favourite things and drew them onto umbrellas. We naturally had to watch the scene from The Sound of Music; Favourite Things and we now have a display inspired by this.
Some weeks we have a yoga session, it's a lovely way to start our week; ready to learn.
