For our theme day on the 26th of March, please can you bring in recycling for junk modelling! We will need dry/clean cardboard boxes, tubes and bottles.
We had a silent disco today! We had so much fun and can't wait to tell you all about it!
Year 2 started to explore division and how to use grouping to solve problems! We thought about what the division symbol means and about what division sentences represent – sharing equally! Then, we had a go at working out some division questions with our talk partners using counters and our steps! Grouping is much easier than we thought and we had lots of fun!
Fun with plasticine! We started to explore making our fairytale inspired glitter jars today, creating our favourite character using plasticine! We are very excited to continue working on it already!
We've been illustrating backgrounds for our fairytale retelling this morning, collaborating brilliantly! Ask us all about it!

Today, we recapped our understanding of what an equal group is, before having a go at making some equal groups ourselves! We were able to represent equal groups using concrete resources and by drawing pictures, including fixing mistakes too! Well done, Year 2!
