Mock SATS complete!
It has been a tough week in year 6, with the children sitting a series of mock SATS between Monday and Wednesday, but we are incredibly proud of them...
As we have told the children, the purpose was to familiarise them with the process ahead of the real ones in term 5, as well as identifying gaps we need to cover in the months ahead.
It has been emphasised to the children that the papers they sat were the actual, end of year, assessments sat in 2018 and that they are not expected to be passing them yet, as we still have three terms packed with learning and coverage before they sit their real ones.
It has helped us identify children who may benefit from a bit of additional support, so we will operate small groups in assembly slots and will offer an early-morning maths group to some children. Letters for this will be going out in the coming weeks.
